As Seen on TV: Lowcountry Mental Health Treatment Program expands to Hardeeville

The Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center is now serving more people with mental needs in the Lowcountry than ever before after opening a new facility in Hardeeville.

Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center provides family support, psychotherapy and outpatient substance abuse treatment.  It started in Holly Hill in 2010 and eventually expanded to Hilton Head, Bluffton and Beaufort.  However, ever since it opened a new location in Hardeeville two months ago, representatives say the program has been helping more people than ever.

Jamison Consultants serves families receiving Medicaid.  It has served about 3,000 families since it opened in 2010.  Organization representatives say Jamison Consultants has been serving an additional 150 families since the Hardeeville location opened up in the beginning of October. The new location is closer to I-95 than the Bluffton site.  Representatives say it provides easier access to more people in need, especially in the Hardeeville and Ridgeland areas.

“South Carolina is an undeserved state and we have smaller rural areas where a lot of people do not have resources to get to outpatient services so by expanding and making easier access for them, we can cater to those families,” said Stephanie Jamison-Void, the CEO of Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center.

Jamison Consultants representatives say the families which previously used the Bluffton site are still going the Hardeeville location.

The program also provides youth services and recently partnered with Jasper County Schools for outreach programs.

Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center Expands To Hardeeville

Growth of Behavioral Health Center Continues with New 16,700 Square Foot Facility and Additional Behavioral Health Programs/Services for Children, Adults and Families

IMG_4270Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center, a South Carolina licensed provider for Medicaid-covered Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services, has announced the launch of a spacious new 16,700 square foot facility in Hardeeville. The new Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center location, which opens on October 1st and will offer expanded evening hours, is located at 290 New River Parkway in Hardeeville, at the site of the former CareCore building.
The expansion into Hardeeville and the opening of this new location enables Jamison Consultants to provide local residents with convenient access to effective mental health and substance abuse services, and is an important new option for local Medicaid patients to receive the mental health and substance abuse services they need. In addition, the launch of a Hardeeville facility enables Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center to effectively serve many of their clients who are students in the Jasper County School District. Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center currently works in partnership with both the Jasper County School District and the Beaufort County School District, providing behavioral health services for students within the districts.
“By opening this new Hardeeville location, we are best able to meet the growing needs of the many clients we already serve in this area, as well as encourage other local residents who are in need of behavioral health services to be able to obtain the help that can turn their lives around,” says Stephanie Jamison-Void, CEO and Executive Director of Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center. “In addition, since we work closely with the Jasper County schools, it was important for us to have a location in the area, and this spacious new facility is the perfect location for us to continue to grow to meet the needs of all those who can greatly benefit from affordable behavioral health services.” Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center offers Medicaid-funded behavioral health programs, and is an important option for people who may not have previously been able to obtain help.
At 16,700 square feet, the building is well equipped to meet the needs of its growing client base, and includes 26 separate offices for individual therapy and case management, as well as spacious areas for playroom therapy/group therapy. The building also has a large auditorium for programming, enabling Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center to launch a series of workshops and seminars for various audiences – including parenting programs, programs for teenagers and other workshops being introduced later this fall. The new Hardeeville location is the largest of Jamison Consultants’ facilities, with other Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Centers located on Hilton Head Island, Beaufort and Holly Hill.
Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center offers an experienced clinical staff with years of expertise in mental health/substance abuse counseling, and provides a full range of rehabilitative behavioral health services for children, adolescents and families. Specific services offered include individual psychotherapy, family counseling, group therapy, children’s therapy, couples counseling, day treatment and behavior modification. The Center specializes in a number of issues affecting families today, including ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders and grief/loss, as well as help with self-esteem issues and stress management. Children and adolescents with a diagnosable mental health condition who have problems functioning successfully in school or at home and have Medicaid insurance may be eligible for these services.
Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center’s new Hardeeville facility is open from Monday – Friday: 8:00AM -7:00PM, Saturday 9am-2pm and Sunday by appointment. In addition to serving the needs of Medicaid patients, Jamison Consultants Behavioral Health Center also accepts many other forms of insurance.
